Geocache Description:

Located in the Driscoll Sibley park just off Highway 10 which runs parallel to I-94.   The park contains a historical marker with information about the Stony Lake Battlefield of 1863. When placed the cache contained a small number of ND quarters.  If you choose to take one please replace it with another quarter.  This is an easy cache for Interstate travelers, except during periods of inclement winter weather.  Seeking this cache affords the finders to take a brief departure from Interstate 94 without going too far off an intended travel route on Interstate 94.  One suggestion for westbound travelers on Interstate 94 would be to stop at Steele, pick up some food and bring it to the park where the cache is located and enjoy a picnic in the park.  For eastbound travelers on Interstate 94, you could get off of the Interstate 94 at the Sterling exit, proceed eastbound on highway 10 to the park where the cache is located, enjoy the park and resume your eastbound trip on Interstate 94 at Steele.  I'd like to compile a list of the states that cachers are from in the log.  It should be noted that there are not any restroom facilites in the park.  While visiting the cache one can ponder the the horrific battle that took place a very short distance north from the park over 150 years ago.  Hope you enjoy this pretty little park and it's historic origins and experience safe travels across the verdant prairie.
