Know this up front: this is a kayaking (or other suitable watercraft) kind of historical adventure! All participants are expected to provide their own boat and gear, including PFDs which you must wear when out on the Delaware River, and know that you assume responsibility for all risks involved with kayaking on a river that can have rapids up to Class II. You are also expected to arrange for your own travel to a starting and ending point on the river. See waypoints for some suggested possible locations to put in and to get out.
Now, about the event. We'll be doing a one-of-a-kind meet-up at an historical location in the Delaware River, a spot that used to be the footings for an old covered bridge that crossed between New York and Pennsylvania. We'll meet up and anchor at the rocks at the times posted for the event, 11am - 11:30am gather for a group photo, geo-chat, pause to eat a snack, do some trackable trading, etc. We will have fun! For those of you who want to tag along after the event times, there will be chances to log geocaches and/or Adventure Lab locations from your boat, but these are not part of this event.
Looking forward to a great day on the water!
