About SideTracked Caches

This cache belongs to the SideTracked series. It is not designed to take you to a magical place with a breath taking view. It's a distraction for the weary traveller, but anyone else can go and find it too. More Information can be found at the SideTracked Website

About Branston & Heighington Station

Branston and Heighington railway station was a station in the village of Heighington, Lincolnshire, on the line between Lincoln and Sleaford.

The station opened on 1 August 1882 as "Heighington for Branston" before it was renamed on 1 May 1884 to Branston and Heighington.

Sadly the station closed to passengers in 1959 and closed entirely in 1965.

If you peer over the bridge to the north, you may just see where the station used to be!
