Geocache Description:

20 June 2021, 09:00 - 12:00

What goes together better than Dads and potty humor? Well, here's a chance to get the whole family involved in a pooptastic event on Father's Day!

Did you think that Mingo Madness was all that? Well, this event is going to be the (stink) bomb! It is sure to be one of the most poopular geocaching events ever held.

Who: All civic-minded geocachers

What: CITO - Clean up the extraordinary amount of dog waste

When: Sunday, June 20, 2021 from 9:00am - 12:00pm (Note: You don't have to plan to be bagging for three hours. There will be a check-in at the beginning and you can also plan to spend some of the time doing the lab and the caches in the park. If you need to show up a bit later or leave a bit earlier, that's fine too! Finally, if we have lots of people helping out we may quit early; we don't have to commit to cleaning up the entire park. Many hands makes the LOAD light.)

Where: Babi Yar Memorial Park, 10451 East Yale Avenue

Why:

  • This is a beautiful memorial that could really use a bit of tender loving care.
  • There is an amazing Adventure Lab in the park.
  • There are two traditionals in the park: GC3MQG9 and GC23NB8.
  • There is a virtual in the park: GC9A28.
  • You will be able to pick up GC8NEAT.
  • You will pick up a CITO event.
  • There is a hilarious (IMHO) cache nearby: GC2QZNV.
  • You can brag (or complain) to everybody about what a cr4ppy Father's Day you had.

How:

We will provide:

  • Disposable masks
  • Disposable gloves
  • Garbage bags
  • A bottle of water

You will provide your own shovel or other pooper scooper device.

UPDATE: Masks are no longer required outdoors.

Please download all the forms and read and sign as appropriate. Please read the Volunteer Guidelines. The only one you need to print out is the waiver form. Make sure to have it signed when you show up for the event registration. You may also want to read the event confirmation. Please consider the environment and don't print out the other two documents.

We have estimated that there will be 20 adults and 5 children at this event. Please indicate your plan to attend early so that we may monitor the numbers.
