The cache is in an area along a dirt trial running along the West bank of the Red River. It is between the VA property and the Red River. You can approach the cache from the South or from the North. The directions for the cache assume you will be approaching from the North. We have started taking walks along dirt trails in this area during this dry spring in 2021. This is prone to flooding and may be more difficult to access during wet weather or in the summer when the stinging nettles and other native plants achieve maximum height. The dirt trail is moderately rough with many curves and some walking across the side of earthen banks. The container is slightly smaller than a 12 oz beverage can with a limited amount of space for swag. The container should be out of the way of small floods. The area is open to bow hunting from Sept to Jan so be cautious.
