LV Gavēņu pilskalns atrodas 1,5 km uz ZR no Raganas centra, uz D no Lobes upes kreisā krasta, blakus Gavēņu mājām, 500 m uz DA no jaunuzceltās skolas. Pilskalns ierīkots savrūpi stāvošā morēnu uzkalniņā, noplacinot tam virsmu un nostāvinot malas 4 m augstumā. Kalnu apjož grāvis un 2-3 m augsts valnis ar pārtraukumu D pusē. Pilskalns apaudzis priežu un bērzu kokiem un krūmiem, plakums apaļš 20 m caurmērā ar 6 m lielu neaizaugušu laukumu.

Gavēņi castle mound is located 1.5 km NW of Ragana center, to the S of the left bank of the Lobe river, next to Gavēņi house, 500 m to the SE of the newly built school. The castle mound is installed on a marble moraine stand, flattening its surface and standing the edges at a height of 4 m. The mountain is surrounded by a ditch and a 2-3 m high embankment with a break on the D side. The castle mound is overgrown with pine and birch trees and bushes, the plateau is round 20 m in diameter with a 6 m ungrown area.
