Geocache Description:

21 April 2021, 17:00 - 17:30

Wednesday, 21 April 2021, 5:00pm - 5:30pm

Please join us for a socially distanced gathering of local geocachers. We will meet up at the posted coordinates which is the Gazebo. The parking lot is near the boathouse. There is a walking trail, a dog park, and views of the CT River. There is also an Adventure Lab Cache in the park.

Bring a Painted Rock to the event. Special prize for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. Attendees will cast a vote for their favorite rock.

This event will run rain or shine. This is another outdoor daytime event as we have been meeting during Covid.

Please read the current guidelines at https://portal.ct.gov/Coronavirus/

If you plan to attend the event please post a "will attend" log and incude the number of people in your group. It is unlikely that we will have too many attendees based on recent CCC events however we need to be prepared to control the numbers. Please wear a mask when close to other people. A logbook will be available to sign and a meet-and-greet is planned for the 30 minutes where Travel Bugs can be exchanged. The park is open until an hour after sunset.

The Central Connecticut Cacher’s Night Out is normally an evening gathering on the second Tuesday of every month (pre Covid). We love to meet those that are new or interested in this great hobby! Let us know if this is your first event as we'd like to get acquainted. This event features new or rotating hosts every month, and changing locations. If you have an interest in hosting, please contact Katydid and Miles Stone (KD&MS). As host, you’ll arrange a location; get the coordinates; and copy and paste the event page and resubmit. Locations should be kid friendly, have no admission fee, and be within the Central Connecticut/Greater Hartford area. Cachers from outside of the area are also encouraged to host, but we do ask that the event itself be held in the central CT area.
