Geocache Description:

Portbury railway station was a railway station serving the village and shipyard of Portbury in Somerset, near Bristol, England. It opened in 1867 and closed in 1962. The line through the station was closed in 1964 and the former station house is now a private dwelling.

The stations of Pill and Portishead either side are also closed but for as long as I can remember there is hope that one day this line will reopen.

The cache is near the bridge that overlooks the former train station but there is no footpath here so please be careful.
