SPRING FLING CAMP WOODSMOKE...It's that time...June 25, 26,27...Plan to spend the day or spend the weekend! New to Geocaching??? or an Ol' Hand...this is an event for you! You may learn new things, make new friends and visit with many people excited about Geocaching!!! It is relaxing and fun! Everyone is invited!!!
MAIN EVENT...Saturday, June 26th, 2021, 10AM to 10PM. Meet at the shelter house to sign in and start your day!
Staying the weekend? You may arrive after 4PM Friday, June 25th and leave around 1PM on Sunday, June 27th. Make reservations soon for a cabin, tent space, or RV with electric soon.
Children are invited to attend with a parent/grandparent/guardian and are your responsibility. There is a nice playground and activities for children.
There is no charge for the event although a donation to help maintain Camp Woodsmoke would be welcomed. Camp is fully handicapped accessable. This is a private camp, owned and operated by Lion's Clubs of District 25F, Indiana. There will be no admittance to the camp before or after the event. Camp will be open to the public for the event. The 264 wooded acres of Camp Woodsmoke holds ownership of four unique and truly beautiful trails including a fully accessible trail for handicapped. One trail crosses the creek 4 times! Caches will be hidden along the trails for your enjoyment. (These caches will not count as finds for you.)
Door prizes will be awarded to adults and there will be some raffle items. There will be prizes for the children. Lets trade travel bugs, geocoins, etc. We are planning a wagon ride on Saturday. Join us in friendship and fun at this annual Spring Fling Geocaching event in the beauty of Camp Woodsmoke in Southeast Indiana! We are located 2 miles east of the small town of Clarksburg, Indiana. Camp is only 20-30 minutes from Rushville, Greensburg, and the historic village of Metamora.
ACCOMMODATIONS:...There are 11 sleeping cabins with cots and fans/heat provided on a first come, first served basis. You may bring your tent, camper, or share a cabin. The cabins sleep 8-10 people. The shower/restroom facility is located near the cabins. (You will be responsible for cleaning your cabin and helping clean the shower/restroom facility, kitchen/dining hall and shelter house when staying the weekend.) MEALS...Bring your own food for Friday evening. We will have s'mores around the campfire that evening. Bring breakfast items to shere. (Cereal, milk, juice, coffee and tea along with paper goods will be privided.) A pitch-in lunch will be held on Saturday at 12 noon! Saturday night enjoy a cook-out (hotdogs, hamburgers, buns, toppings will be provided) and any donated food items you may have. There is a large fridge, freezer and icemaker in the kitchen for your use!
