Cache In Trash Out® (CITO) is an environmental initiative supported by the geocaching community. At CITO events, geocachers and community groups work together to improve parks and other outdoor environments. They clean up litter, plant trees, remove invasive species, build trails, and more.
This CITO brings you to the oldest recreational park in Kuala Lumpur, the Perdana Botanical Garden (fondly known to locals as the Lake Gardens). This sprawling 227-acre park is a popular place to hang out for fitness enthusiasts, nature lovers as well as families with little ones. It is not uncommon to see litter left behind by those who are less civic-conscious. So let’s take a walk around this beautiful park to clean it up and make it a better place to visit.
This event takes place under the open and well-ventilated glass canopy at Lake Gardens. At the time of writing, Kuala Lumpur is under Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO). Hence social distancing and wearing of face mask in public areas are compulsory under the SOP and highly recommended during the pandemic. The Covid situation will be continually assessed and should conditions prevent this event from proceeding, an announcement will be made.
Let’s do our bit for community by coming together this May Day to clean up the Lake Gardens and earn a souvenir at the same time!
We trust all attendees will act responsibly!
Stay safe, play safe!
