Come join me on the water at the Andalusia Slough! Any type of water-craft that can get you to GZ is welcome - kayaks, water wings, surf boards, et al.
May 2 is Big Blue Switch Day in the geocaching world but did you know it's also International Scurvy Day? I bet all the pirates out there knew that! The event will be on the water from 8:30-9am, so plan accordingly! I'll take a group picture at GZ right at 9:00am.
If you are interested in continuing to paddle among the islands of the Mississippi north of GZ, I'm heading that direction immediately following the event assuming weather cooperates.
Logging your attendance at this event will also earn you the Blue Switch Day souvenir, available April 30-May 2, 2021.
All the standard Illinois COVID-19 protocals still apply. Wear a mask if you can't maintain 6 feet of social distancing, stay home if you aren't feeling well, don't test hempmage's personal boundaries.
