Where: This year we will meet behind the Hobby Lobby store and pick up trash on a narrow but steep hill, thus the high terrain rating. As usual, we will have drawings for a few prizes. Muffins and juice will be provided along with your very own heavy duty trash bag. The clean up area will allow for social distancing.
What to bring: Your work or caching gloves, a pointy stick or trash grabbers, and a desire to have fun.
BUT WAIT! There's more! Participate in this event and you will be eligible to log for what most of us a is new icon for our profiles, the elusive Locationless Cache icon! GC8NEAT is a locationless cache developed by Groundspeak. I have been coveting this icon since 2005, when Groundspeak discontinued this cache type. Come get your photo taken picking up trash, upload it to the cache page, and you will have a sparkling new addition to your icon collection.
Please note: The annual Keep America Beautiful event has been postponed until the fall of 2021, given the large number of participants. This event will not involve KAB. I will host another CITO in the fall in conjunction with that event.
