Baznīca Bārtā bijusi jau pirms 1560. gada. 1749. gadā šajā vietā celta pēc skaita piektā koka baznīca. Mūra baznīca uzcelta 1892. gadā pēc Liepājas arhitekta Paula Maksa Berči projekta. Ēkā bijušas 700 sēdvietas. Baznīca nopostīta otrā pasaules kara laikā un tā arī nav atjaunota.

Built in 1892, instead of the old wooden church. The author of the project Paul Max Bertschy and there were 700 seats. Destroyed during the 2nd World War (1945) and later was not restored.
