Typically spring breakers head to the crowded beaches and stuffed hotels. The Georgia Geo-Campers have reserved an
ENTIRE ISLAND off of Georgia's coast to host the GG-C's 2021 Spring Break.
Starting June 4, 2021 hidden just off the beautiful coastline of Georgia, the GG-C has reserved the entire Cabretta Campground which is located on the very secluded sandy beaches of Sapelo Island. ***See Covid-19 Precautions at bottom of page***

Itinerary For Spring Break 2021!
THURSDAY June 3rd
2:30pm The Meet & Greet event at the Ferry Launch (posted coordinates)
3:00pm Ferry loading begins
3:30pm Buh-Bye Bon Voyage! The ferry departs to the tranquil Sapelo Island for the official 2021 Spring Break Campout Party.
SATURDAY JUNE 5th
6pm The Unique Campfire Dinner & The Big Jackpot Trackable Drawing.
(Bring plenty of un-activated trackables to participate)
7pm Live Oaks Night Hunt & 50/50 drawing.
8pm S'mores & Island Ghost Stories ~ Ooo
Departure JUNE 6th
Returning on the 4PM ferry on the 6th.

Option 1: Friday thru Sunday (two nights camping) June 4-6th.

Please Read The Following Information Below
To reserve the Cabretta Campground, the GG-C prepaid a year ago. So, for this camping experience, you
*must be committed* and be willing to prepay for your site. The cost is $35 per person per night. There is also a $15 per person round-trip ferry fee for access to the Sapelo Island's Cabretta Campground. Ferry fee and ice not included in the prepay. Those fees will be collected on site. Cash only for ice.

-->Campers will need to purchase ferry tickets at Visitors Center on site.
-->Due to National Federal Regulations, Cabretta Campground is limited to only 25 people. The first 25 people to sign up on this event page will have priority for the camp sites.
-->Minimum of 15 people required for $35 per person per night fee. If less than 15 people sign up for the four night option then the fee will be higher or we may choose to opt out of the four night option based on participant's interest level.
-->Like all of our camping events, you don't have to camp out to be able to attend this event. Be at the posted coordinates Thursday at 2:30pm to visit with the Georgia Geo-Campers. Then at 3:30pm give them a proper Buh-Bye Bon Voyage! Happy SPRING BREAK 2021!
HOW TO RESERVE YOUR 2021 SPRING BREAK CAMP SITE
Indicate in your will attend log the following pertinent information;
--> A)The option you prefer (two nights or three nights) to camp.
--> B)The number of camp sites you would like.
--> C)The number of people in your party.
--> D)The number of bags of ice you'll need, $2 per bag additional fee (CASH).
PAYMENT
This is very important.
Campsite payment
*must* be made in advance. Payment arrangements can be made by sending a message via Georgia Geo-Campers profile located at the top of this event listing. There's a 'no refunds' policy for this unique camping on this secluded sandy beach island experience. Sites
can be transferable in the event someone truly needs to cancel to someone on the waiting list. Deadline for pre-payment is May 1st, 2021.
Everyone will board onto the ferry together. So, starting at 2:30pm, we'll gather up the gear at ferry launch and then board the ferry starting at 3:00pm on Thursday, June 3rd. The ferry departs Georgia's mainland at 3:30pm to the destination of Cabretta Campground on Sapalo Island National Refuge. Sorry, no exceptions for departures or refunds can be made.
Your gear will be limited due to ferry space. Everyone is encouraged to pack light and encompass all your gear into 'one' pack. ALL gear must be tightly contained, no loose items on the ferry as they might unintentionally move about and not make the trip to the island. Lidded totes are a great option for packing gear and keeping all the gear contained. Small coolers are allowed, folding chairs are not permitted.
Camp sites are primitive, however there are bathrooms and hot showers available in our campground. Plenty of trees available for our hammock campers. (YAY!) Ice available on site. (pre order your ice in advance)

FACE MASKS Everyone is required to wear a FACE MASK for travel on the ferry.

Please bring any sanitizing agents you will need like hand sanitizer, etc.

BATH HOUSES
There are three shower/toilet rooms for our use. To limit exposure, I will assign each person a room for their use but understand you will be sharing this room with at least 6 people. I will supply a sanitizer spray for each of the three shower/toilet rooms. You will be asked to use the spray before and after each use of these rooms. More details will be provided on site.
PLEASE NOTE:
Please be assured that every effort is being made to ensure the safety of each person. We are going above and beyond general recommendations to protect each other! The island, campground and beach are all great areas to social distance. Wide open spaces, fresh air and bright sunlight are all in our favor!
Although these mitigation measures are in place, your choice to join us is voluntary and any risks associated with this event are your responsibility.
The three troublesome spots are the ferry, the bus to Cabretta and the bath houses. These areas are already being addressed.
FERRY: We can easily social distance and everyone will wear masks.
BUS: The bus has been replaced with an open-air trailer allowing social distancing and we will wear masks as well.
BATH HOUSES: See plan above and understand that we will discuss this in more detail on site.
