It's... been a while, hasn't it? I suppose it's now a good time to pilot test for caching events in the "new normal", so let's get together for a socially-distanced Cache In Trash Out (CITO) Event at Bishan-Ang Mo Kio Park to mark the start of a (hopefully) better geocaching year.
Before we proceed: please read the listing below carefully! We need to adhere to the prevailing Safe Management Measures (SMM) for Phase 3 of Reopening, and do not wish for any cachers to find themselves on the wrong side of the law.
According to the Phase 3 Guidelines, no more than 8 people should be gathered at one spot at a time, and therefore, to accomodate as many cachers as possible, the event will be split into two iterations with a maximum of 7 attendees each (excluding the host) with NO intermingling between the two runs:
Run 1: 0800 - 0855
Run 2: 0905 - 1000
Both runs will begin at the published coordinates, and end at McDonalds Bishan Park going along two different routes. The routes will take about 55 minutes to traverse.
If you are interested, please read on. The host reserves the right to reject the logs any attendees who do not adhere to the instructions and safety guidelines.
IMPORTANT:
Please indicate your attendance using a "Will Attend" below, and indicate the following:
- the number of persons attached to your account
- which run of the CITO you'll be attending.
at the end of your log (e.g. [2 pax, Run 1]). The host reserves the right to delete "Attended" logs of any attendee who has not logged a "Will Attend" log with the neccesary information and physically turn them away from the CITO.
Additional Safety Guidelines and Info:
- IF YOU ARE UNWELL ON THE DAY OF THE EVENT: Please DO NOT attend the CITO. Please be responsible and seek medical treatment.
- You are expected to WEAR A FACE MASK AT ALL TIMES during the event.
- DO NOT turn up in a group larger than the one indicated in your logs. Run slots are allocated on a first come first served basis, and anyone who logs a "Will Attend" after all slots are filled will be put on a standby list. If you cannot make it, please message the event host and/or leave a note on the event page announcing your retraction, so that someone on the standby list may attend.
- Gloves and trash bags will be provided, but please bring your own grabber tools/tongs to pick up the trash. Hand sanitisers and anti-bacterial wet wipes will be provided on request.
- Please practice good personal hygiene when interacting with one another, and minimise prolonged close contact with each other. Any attendee persistently not adhering to the prevailing safety guidelines will not be allowed to log the CITO event
