Geocache Description:

14 March 2021, 13:00 - 14:00

Pi Day is celebrated on March 14th (3/14) around the world. Pi (Greek letter “π”) is the symbol used in mathematics to represent a constant — the ratio of the circumference of a circle to its diameter — which is approximately 3.14159. Pi Day is an annual opportunity for math enthusiasts to recite the infinite digits of Pi, talk to their friends about math, and to eat Pie.

14 March is also the birthday of some important people, such as Albert Einstein, and many others not so well known....

You will be not required to recite any more than 3 digits of pie at this event, but you will be encouraged to eat pie. Pie, drinks and a log book will be provided, but additional contributions of pi(e) are welcome!

Event is being held this year at John Knight Park, 14 March from 1-2pm. Please log your "will attends" so catering can be organised.

PS: last year this event was the last event to be hled before the great "shutdown" of 2020 - a strange time indeed!
