UPDATE ON 03/18/2021.....posted coordinates have been changed to the location of the CITO. You will have to park at the parking coordinates and hike along the trail to the location of the event. Pick up some trash at the posted coordinates, sign the log and hike back with any trash that you pick up. I will be at the posted coordinates during the given time. Hike together or hike alone. DO NOT PARK ON I-635 AND ATTEMPT TO ATTEND THE EVENT. THIS IS DANGEROUS AND NOT ALLOWED. The trail goes under the interstate at this point and the only way to access this point is hiking on the trail.
Bring a trash bag, some gloves, a grabber, a flashlight, a UV light, and some sweet tunes to share or listen to with your ear buds. Also, come with a "CAN DO ATTITUDE".
We will "WALK THIS WAY" on the Missouri Riverfront Trail to the posted coordinates and that is where we will pick up trash and that is where the log can be signed.. Estimated roundtrip distance is four miles. This is a mostly flat trail and a large part of it is crushed gravel along the levee. There is ample parking at the posted coordinates and that is where we will start hiking.
We will start at 6pm to allow the working stiffs to make it.
There will be a log at the posted coordinates. You must sign the log to take credit for this event.
