The Grumpys are in QLD for a frolic in Somerset Dam. Before we depart we wanted to ensure we left things as good as or better than when we arrived.
Depending on water levels and your abilities this might be a walk, swim, paddle or boat trip. We may spread back on the shore if needed.
What to Bring: Sun Hat, Sturdy Shoes, Long Sleeve, Shirt, Long Pants, Sunscreen, Drinking Water, Gloves.
Please post your 'Will Attend' log if you are able to lend a hand and we look forward to seeing you on the day!
The GOM'sTM
The Grumpy Old Mates is a group of mostly Sydney based cachers with a keen interest in puzzle caches, especially if there is an element of adventure involved in finding them. At this point, we have placed a series of 50 kayak caches on the Colo River (north of Windsor) and a series of 13 tree climbing caches near Kenthurst which are aptly named the Colo River Grumpy Power Trail (CRGPT) and Porters Road Grumpy Power Trail (PRGPT) respectively.
The minutes of the inaugural GOMAGM Feb 2020 can be found here which includes the history of the GOMs formation.
The CITO
What is a CITO event?
Cache In Trash Out® events bring geocachers together to care for the geocaching game board: planet Earth. CITO events might focus on tree planting, litter pick up, or even habitat restoration. They’re a chance for geocachers to give back to their local spaces and communities.
