Geocache Description:

20 March 2021, 12:00 - 13:00

It's been quite a winter.  It's been quite a year.  But finally, it's the FIRST DAY OF SPRING, and that's a cause for celebration!!  Please join us for a socially distanced gathering of local geocachers to WELCOME SPRING. We will meet up and stroll through the park.  This event is timed for one hour, however, you may want to explore everything Northwest Park has to offer after the event.  There are geocaches of course, mles of trails, picnic tables, farm animals, and a playground.  Please note, as of this writing the Nature Center has been closed.

We will have a rain date of Sun March 21st, same time.

This is another daytime event as we have been meeting outoors only during Covid.

Please read the current guidelines at https://portal.ct.gov/Coronavirus/Travel  Currently CT has travel restrictions that include civil penalties and fines of $500 each for anyone caught in violation.

While residents of CT, NY, NJ and RI are exempted from the travel restrictions above they are urged to avoid unnescessary or non-essential travel between states at this time.

If you plan to attend the event please post a "will attend" log and incude the number of people in your group. It is unlikely that we will have too many attendees based on recent CCC events however we need to be prepared to control the numbers.

The Central Connecticut Cacher’s Night Out is normally an evening gathering on the second Tuesday of every month (pre Covid). We love to meet those that are new or interested in this great hobby! Let us know if this is your first event as we'd like to get acquainted. This event features new or rotating hosts every month, and changing locations. If you have an interest in hosting, please contact Katydid and Miles Stone (KD&MS). As host, you’ll arrange a location; get the coordinates; and copy and paste the event page and resubmit. Locations should be kid friendly, have no admission fee, and be within the Central Connecticut/Greater Hartford area. Cachers from outside of the area are also encouraged to host, but we do ask that the event itself be held in the central CT area.
