Geocache Description:

06 March 2021, 16:30 - 17:00

4:30-5pm for those of us who constantly mess up military time.

At long last, I finally get to return to Muscatine for a symphony gig! I've been playing in the orchestra here since 2011, usually travelling to my "second home" about six times a year. The March 2020 concert was the first cancellation on any of my calendars at the beginning of the pandemic. But the March 2021 concert (via YouTube) will be the first "full" orchestra performance for the MSO in that year. For my non-orch-dork friends, a full orchestra is strings, woodwinds, brass, and percussion as opposed to simply a string orchestra.

So I'm celebrating with an event on the water at Deep Lakes! Musical skill is not required, but if you want to bring along an instrument be my guest. Kazoos? Great. Recorders? Awesome. Euphonium? Don't do that... that's an easy instrument that anyone can play.

Since the event is actually ON the ice, be prepared for winter weather. In the event that all this frozen tundra melts in the next two weeks, we'll up date the plans accordingly.

As per our new normal, we will be spread out even while outdoors with masking always an option. Refrain from handshakes and high fives. Six feet ****** *******

We begin recording at 1:30 so I imagine we'll be finished well before event time. If something odd happens and I'm running late, I'll make an announcement.
