Speedwell Forge Lake is a 106 acre impoundment owned by the Commonwealth of PA, and managed by the PFBC. Come paddle it!
Please note that all boats used on the lake must have a valid PA boat launch permit from the PFBC or DNCR.
An incomplete list of items you may wish to bring with you:
A boat (canoe, kayak, or electric motor only)
A life jacket
Warm clothing (not cotton!)
Sunscreen
A hat
An umbrella
A face mask
A hazmat suit
Water
Snacks
A signed photo of actor LeVar Burton (UPDATE: ✓ )

Some of these items are essential--you will not be able to attend this event in a safe and legal fashion without them. Others are more of a nice-to-have. Sorting between these categories is left as an exercise to the reader.
Note: everything that makes life worth living brings some level of risk, and outdoor recreational activities like paddling and geocaching are no exception. Cachers are able to determine for themselves what level of risk they are with, and those who choose to come to this event are accepting those risks. However, this does not mean that you are free to expose others to a higher degree of risk than they are comfortable with if you are aware that you are doing so. Thus, if you are feeling unwell or have reason to believe you may have been exposed to COVID-19, please sit this event out. There will always be another opportunity--if we are prudent and look out for those around us.
