Treaty Park is the signing spot of a treaty and the largest and most diverse gathering of Seminole Natives in 1823. There were 425 native warriors and 32 chiefs who showed up to settle land grabs in peace. The treaty was created to settle disputes between the settlers and native people of the South Eastern US. It created a 4 million acre reservation in central Florida. As the value of Florida grew, the treaty failed leading to the Second Seminole War in 1835.
