Welcome to Earth Day Weekend. Earth Day is Thursday, April 22nd but Saturdays are meant for CITO's. Come join us as we work to remove buckthorn to make this small patch of woods more enjoyable for the community. Woodland Trails Park is part of the River Trails Park District. This park has enough diversity that it could be considered an arboretum. Let's help continue to beautify this area. Staff from the River Trails Park District will assist with identification of the work area, access to tools and some direction. If you have your own ,you should bring work gloves, saws and loppers, it will be helpful to have in case they run out with strong attendance. Appropriate pandemic measures as required by state/local mandates will be followed and monitored, be sure to bring your mask.
