Andrupenes purva taka ir īsa, taču purva laipas jūs novedīs lejup - reljefa pazeminājumā, kur jūs sagaida augstais jeb sūnu purvs ar raksturīgo veģetāciju. Esiet īpaši vērīgi - te arī atradīsiet apaļlapu raseni - augu kukaiņēdāju, kā arī nesaelpojaties pārāk daudz purva vaivariņus! ;)
Andrupenes lauku sēta jums parādīs Latgales viensētu 20. gadsimta sākumā - tipiskā arhitektūra, ēkas un to funkcionalitāte, kā arī dažādi darba rīki.
Darba laiks lauku sētai norādīts nav, taču svētdienas dienā ziemas vidū vārti bija vaļā un ekspozīciju no ārpuses varēja brīvi apskatīt. Ja vārti ir ciet, tad tik pat brīvi iekļūt lauka sēta un tikt līdz slēpnim būs iespējams caur purva taku. Slēpnis atrodas priedē, blakus info stendam, kurā, ja būs interese, noteikti uzzināsiet vairāk informācijas. Ziemas (sniega) periodā varētu būt interesanti atrast pašu purva laipu, iestaigāti lielceļi kā Pierīgā nebūs. Mums sanāca tāds interesants bridiens pa purvu.

[EN] Andrupene is one of the many small towns around the land of blue lakes, but it's not just another town with a church. It also has two interesting sites that are integrated with each other. You can choose the order of your visit!
Andrupene Bog Trail is short, but the boardwalks will take you down into the depression, where you'll encounter the tall sphagnum bog with its characteristic vegetation. Be especially careful - you'll also find sundew, an insectivorous plant, and don't step on too many bog puddles! ;)
Andrupene's rural homestead will show you what Latgale's farmsteads looked like in the early 20th century, with typical architecture, buildings, and their functionality, as well as various tools.
The homestead's opening hours are not specified, but on Sundays in the winter, the gate was open, and the exhibition could be viewed from the outside. If the gate is closed, you can still enter the homestead and reach the cache through the bog trail. Guided tours, workshops, food tastings, etc., can be arranged by calling +371 26458876 (Skaidrīte). The cache is located near the info stand in the pine tree. If you're interested, you'll definitely learn more information there. It could be interesting to find the bog trail itself during the winter (snow) period, as the main road won't be accessible like in Rīga. We had an interesting time in the bog.
