What is a CITO event?
Cache In Trash Out® events bring geocachers together to care for the geocaching game board: planet Earth.
CITO events might focus on tree planting, litter pick up, or even habitat restoration.
They’re a chance for geocachers to give back to their local spaces and communities.
Participation in this event also qualifies you to log the Geocaching HQ Locationless Cache: GC8NEAT
"Participate individually or with a small group (after checking the current guidance from public health authorities). The possibilities are endless, but could include:
- Clean up garbage in your neighborhood or favorite walking path.
- Join an existing community effort to remove invasive species, plant trees, and improve parks.
- Take a photo of your efforts and upload it with your log."
