Yes, it is time for a CITO at Horseshoe pond in Maquoketa, but this time we can earn a CITO souvenir and a rare icon.
Horseshoe pond in Maquoketa is always in need of a clean up, but even more so in the Spring before campers start to arrive. We will meet at the pavilion at 1:00 p.m. I will provide garbage bags and some refreshements along with a few prizes. Make sure to dress appropriately and wear gloves.
You will also recieve the following:
1. Locationless cache: Join geocachers around the world to improve the outdoors, celebrate 20 years of geocaching, and log a rare cache type in 2021! This HQ-owned cache provides a unique opportunity to contribute to environmental improvement and protection efforts in a way that’s most meaningful and safe for you. 2. Cache In Trash Out souvenir: Put in some time to make our geocaching enviroment clean and give back to the game we love.
Also, Blue Switch day is available April 30th to May 2nd, so make sure to grab a cache to celebrate 21 years of people around the world using GPS technology to find adventure, community, and of course geocaches. This was all made possible by the events that took place on May 2, 2000
