Geocache Description:

01 May 2021, 09:30 - 11:30

This CITO / Tree Planting event is hosted in conjuction with the City of Mission Viejo and the MVEduenviro group at Capistrano Valley High School. Exclusive permission from the event organizers have been granted to host this CITO event. The event will start at 9:30 am on May 1st, 2021 and conclude around 11:30am. It is recomended to come prepared and wear closed toe shoes. Water and tools (shovels and gloves) will be provided.

We will be volunteering planting trees along the Upper Oso Creek Trail in addition to a CITO along the creek. If you plan on attending, it is asked that in addition to logging your "will attend" log, you also sign up on the offical event page which can be found here

Please note, masks will be required for all attendees in compliance with local regulations following Covid-19. If you are feeling sick, it is asked that you not attend. Don't worry, there will be more cache events in the future! Note that Mission Viejo is located in Orange County, which is in the "orange tier" per California state re-opening guidelines, allowing for limited outdoor socialized gatherings. At a CITO event, it is possble to promote social distancing given that the event will be very well spread out. If the official event is cancled due to an increase in cases or inclimate weather, this event will be archived or moved to when it is safe to do so.
