Geocache Description:

Snakes!  Who doesn't like 'em?  Well, plenty of people I suppose.....
I love snakes, they are super cool.  Anyway, I doubt we'll see any snakes today, but you never know.  Let's get together and talk caching.

A few fun snake facts:

- The largest snake ever found was the Titanoboa, a 2500lb, 42ft long resident of present-day Columbia.  It lived 58-60 million years ago.

- The world's most venemous snake is the Inland Taipan.  It's estimated one bite has enough venom to kill 100 people, and it's bite can kill in as little as 30 minutes.  Thankfully, this species is not aggressive and generally only bites when cornered or threatened.

- According to the Illinois DNR, a medium snake can eat up to 9 lbs of rodents in a single year (that's about 200 mice!)

Event subject to alteration/cancellation based on severe weather and changing COVID guidelines.  Stay home if you're sick, practice social distancing, wear a mask, you know the drill.  We will meet outside and should have plenty of room to stay safely away from each other.  (Six feet m-----------)
