Norwell War Memorial is a Grade II listed structure, achieving the status on 17 May 2019.
The memorial is made from rough hewn granite with a Celtic cross, siting atop a tapered plinth and single step.
Following a public meeting in August 1919, the memorial was funded by public subscription. Crafted by G Brown & Son of Newark at a cost of £150, the memorial was dedicated and unveiled on 17 September 1921. Later additions to the memorial record the names of 3 men who lost their lives in WWII and the name of a man who died in the Malayan conflict. These names are on the opposite side to the 11 men of the village who never returned from WWI.
