January's CCC Nite Out will be a daytime outdoor COVID complient event.

Normally the Central Connecticut Cacher’s (CCC) Nite Out is an evening gathering on the first, or second Tuesday of every month (well, most months anyway- the date may vary). However, since we are still in the time of COVID-19 awareness this will be a daytime outdoor adventure. Be sure to wear a mask and maintain 6 feet apart from anyone outside of the group that arrived in your car for the entire event.
We will gather in the parking area at the Wethersfield boat launch from 11:00 until 11:30 for a meet and greet. The Old Wethersfield area has plenty of walking paths and parks that you can visit. There is a nearby Adventure Lab cache that can be done as well as some geocaches. When Mr. Soccerdog scouted the area last week he walked a 3 mile loop which included finding the lab cache and two geocaches, and a walk through the old cemetary in one hour.

While residents of CT, NY, NJ and RI are exempted from the travel restrictions above they are urged to avoid unnescessary or non-essential travel between states at this time.
If you plan to attend the event please post a "will attend" log and incude the number of people in your group. It is unlikely that we will have too many attendees based on recent CCC events however we need to be prepared to control the numbers.
We love to meet those that are new or interested in this great hobby! Let us know if this is your first event as we'd like to get acquainted. This event features new or rotating hosts every month, and changing locations. If you have an interest in hosting, please contact Katydid and Miles Stone (KD&MS). As host, you’ll arrange a location; get the coordinates; and copy and paste the event page and resubmit. Locations should be kid friendly, have no admission fee, and be within the Central Connecticut/Greater Hartford area. Cachers from outside of the area are also encouraged to host, but we do ask that the event itself be held in the central CT area.
