The War Memorial is a Grade II listed structure, achieving the status on 9 December 2014.
Unusually, it commemorates the fallen men of not just the parish in which it lies. It also carries the names of the fallen from nearby villages Ragnall and Darlton.
The memorial was unveiled on 22 June 1921 by ex-servicemen. It was made by Sharpe & Hoggard of Retford.
It stands 4 metres tall and is a Latin cross made of Aberdeen granite. The cross head is draped with laurel leaves, a cap and ammunition.
Originally, only the names of the fallen from Dunham in WWI were on the memorial. The names of the fallen from WWII were added later. In 1998, the inscription for Ragnall was added. It is unknown when Darlton was added but it was after 1998.
