The Principal of Minnieville Elementary School has invited our group to have another CITO at her school. Our geocaching group has had a lasting impact with our annual series of "Educational CITO's" at local schools that have included Occoquan Elementary, Featherstone Elementary, and Fred M. Lynn Middle School. Disabled cachers are invited to this CITO. There are paved areas and open grass feilds that could be policed.
For folks that are looking for a more physical CITO that takes place in the back. Minnieville borders Headly Run and that is were big deposites of plastic bottles and trash were found last year. Back there is where the fun happens. You will be climbing, crossing the stream, and filling up bags of trash.
CITO stands for Cache In Trash Out. It’s the geocacher’s approach to keeping our game board (i.e. the entire planet) in great shape. Geocachers gather together to pick up trash, remove invasive species, repair trails and more! Also all geocachers who participate in a CITO between March 1st to August 31st will earn a pretty sweet new souvenir!

Trash Bags needed for the cleanup will be provided at the starting coords. Let it be known, you WILL get dirty, so dress appropriately, and wear good footwear. The fields could be soggy. The woodline has thorns and some poison ivy. Your garden gloves will come in handy as well.
