Geocache Description:

12 December 2020, 12:00 - 13:00

The Cole children - nalceloc - aka Twig, Shrub, and Sprout - would like to invite you to their Meet & Greet Event! Grab your kids, family, friends, dog, trackables, and GPS device, and come join us for an afternoon picnic in a new park!

We will gather on Saturday, December 12, 2020 from 12:00 to 1:00 pm, at Centennial Park under the brand new covered pavilion at the posted coordinates, where we can exchange trackables and share stories of how much fun geocaching is, even and especially for kids! Although there will be no food served, there are plenty of restaurants locally for a quick to-go meal, that you can bring to the park and enjoy, if you wish. Or, you can pack a lunch as well. There are picnic tables but you are welcome to bring your own chairs. There will be shade and restrooms nearby.

Although we will be there the entire time, you may come and go as you please. This is an open, outdoor park, with plenty of room to spread out and maintain a safe social distance. Okeechobee County is currently in Phase 3 of reopening, following the governor's guidelines, which means there is no limit on how many people may attend an outdoor activity, although social distancing is still recommended, especially if elderly or immunocompromised. With people coming and going throughout the event, I don't think it will ever be that crowded though.

*Rumor has it there may even be some new geocaches published in the area by the time of the event.....so log your will attend and join us for our Meet & Greet! EVENT TIME IS 12:00 to 1:00 pm, but feel free to join us at anytime during this timeframe and stay for as long or as short as you'd like.
