Lake Okeechobee's Lock 7/Jaycee's Park will really need a clean up. . Seems during this epedimic, a lot more people are utalizing the area, either for excercising on the L.O.S.T. trail, or just to hang out, and with more people, we get more garbage. I'm guessing that after the new year's celebrations, it'll be a whole lot worse. So, we say it's time to clean it up!
We will meet at the posted location on Sunday, January 3, 2021, at 9:00 am and pick up trash until 10:30, maybe a little later if we choose. We will supply garbage bags, and arrange with the sheriff's department weekend cleaning crew for pick up, and we will also supply a cooler with cold water. You will want to bring your gloves, grabbers, stabbers, or whatever else you like to use to collect trash. The more people we have, the more we can get done. As they say, many hands make light work!
