Instead of our usual indoor Christmas dinner event, this year our annual holiday event will be held outdoors as a hiking event. Lace up those hiking boots, grab a hiking stick and join us for a special, socially-distanced gathering.
The event begins at the specified time at the posted coordinates. You cannot drive to the event, but you can drive to either of the two waypointed parking areas and hike to the event coordinates. There may be many potential distractions in the form of geocaches along the way to tempt you or slow you down, so plan carefully - you can find them on the way in or on the way out, or just skip them altogether. But if you're planning to attend the event you'll need to be at the event site between 11:30am and 12noon. And who knows - showing up at the event may make it easier to find all of the geocaches on the way out anyway. Arrive at the parking whenever you feel appropriate, but to attend this event, plan on being present at minimum throughout the posted times of the event.
Please pack your own lunch and drinks for the event, and bring a mask to wear at any time that you might possibly get within six feet of others.
We are planning to have a specially themed keepsake gift for all those who post a will-attend by Thursday, December 10, and attend the event during the posted hours. We'll also be planning some more holiday fun for all, to be revealed that day.
