The Terrain Five CITO Event will be held on Springbank Island, located in the West Basin of Lake Burley Griffin about 400 meters from the mainland. This Event has a D1/T5 rating. This is because the only means of access to the island is across the lake by Boat, Swimming, Paddle Craft, Kayak or Inflatable Boat. It is the responsibility of each individual to arrange how they will get to and from the island.
This event will run for 1 hour. The event is about bringing geocachers together for a CITO to clean your local area. Rubbish Bags will be provided by the CO. Please bring you own Gloves.
The perimeter of the island is lined with trees. The island is quite bare, other than the picnic area and shelter (at the western end of the island). There is two Barbecue facilities, tap water, picnic tables and toilets are also available. However there is No Power source on the island.
Optional: There are two additional geocaches on the island to get but these are not the focus of the event.
There will be a FTF Random Prize Draw at the Event.
