The posted coordinates will take you to a memorial close to the entrance of Riddrie Cemetery. Riddrie Cemetery has more than an average number of commonwelath war graves. This could be due to the former Robroyston Hospital being commandeered as a military hospital shortly after it opened in 1917. Parts of the Cemetery have become dangerous due to subsidence (probably as a result of extensive mining in the area). The Commonwealth War Graves Commission promises to maintain graves in perpetuity, therefore this memorial has been erected to allow people to continue to pay their respects to the servicemen and servicewomen whose resting place is no longer accessible.
2020 is the 75th anniversary of the ending of World War 2 and this cache will be published on or close to Nov 11th. Take time when you wander through the cemetery to remember the servicemen and servicewomen who are laid to rest here. Please be respectful.
