PLEASE BE CAREFULL WHEN ATTEMPTING THIS CACHE AS YOU NEED TO CROSS THE MAIN ROAD (A52 Exit) INTO SPONDON IN ORDER TO GET TO THE CHURCH.
Spondon Methodist Church is relatively modern having been planned and built in the early 1930's and opened in July 1934.
The church has remained virtually unchanged in appearance but additional rooms were added in 1966 to increase the space required for Sunday school classes and other community activities. The street I grew up on used it to stage yearly christmas pantomimes in the 1970's due to the excellent facilities. My wife also attended playgroup there as a child. The Church is still a popular hosting site to this day.
