Brunnsbacka sawmill.
The combined sawmill and fluor-mill in brunnsbacka is a really archaic establishment, which has happened to be maintained to posterity, even though it has not been in operation for a considerable time. The mill was in fact working only seasonally, when the water-supply was abundant. The last time it was in use was in 1951 and then as a plane making roofing-shingles. The sawmill ceased to operate in the 1930’s and the flour-mill somewhat later. It has not been able to establish the exact age of the mill, but its construction presents archaic traits. In the 1870’s some work will probably have been carried out in the mill, which has given it its present shape and which constituted the basis of the thorough restoration it passed through in 1983.
