Hi we’re two crazy Canadians from Calgary Canada. We thought we would add a Geocache to the Madrid region since there are so few. The cache contains a number of Canadian items for our fellow Spanish treasure seekers to find.
El geoescondite está situado cerca de uno de los oteaderos que hay en el Parque Regional de la Pedriza. La vista desde el sitio del escondrijo es absolutamente fantástica en un día claro.
The cache is located near one of the several lookouts in the regional park of La Pedriza. The view form the cache site if absolutely fantastic on a clear day.
El geoescondite puede alcanzarse practicamente siguiendo los caminos del Parque. Unicamente los últimos 50 a 100 m requieren salirse de los caminos marcados. El camino al geoescondite depende de donde se aparque.
The cache can be reached by following the park trails almost all the way. Only the last 50 to 100 meters will require you to go off the marked trails. How long of a hike this cache will depend on where you park.
Hay un pequeño aparcamiento a menos de 500 m, pero si te ves forzado a aparcar a la entrada del parque, como nos ocurrio a nosotros, tienes unos 2km de caminata. Tráete gran cantidad de agua, especialmente si el sol calienta.
There is a small parking area within less than 500 meters, but if you are forced to park your car at the park entrance, as we did, you can expect a 2 km walk. Bring lots of water, especially if the sun is HOT.
El geoescondite consiste en un contenedor de plástico de tamaño medio con una tapa verde. Está escondido en la profundidad de una grieta bajo un gran bolo, y tapado casi por completo con piedras. Me han comentado que existen serpientes venenosas (vívoras) en esta zona por lo que es aconsejable tener cuidado.
The cache is in a medium sized plastic container with a green lid. It is hidden deep in a crack under a larger bolder, and almost completely covered with stones. I’m told there are small venomous snakes in this area so do be careful.

A mi mujer y a mi nos encantó la visita a Madrid España. Toledo y Segovia son realmente fantásticas. El maravilloso castillo de Manzanares el Real fue la gran culminación de nuestro maravilloso día en La Pedriza.
My wife and I have loved our visit to Madrid Spain. Toledo, and Segovia were absolutely fantastic. The wonderful castle in Manzanares el Real was a great topper to a wonderful day in La Pedriza!
