A late edition to the Nailsea Round trail. This footbridge actually marks the boundary between Nailsea and Backwell- the long field from Station Close is in Backwell, then the field beyond the river is in Nailsea.
The Nailsea Round series is a trail of caches encompassing the Nailsea Round path that surrounds the town. It is placed in three parts by three geocachers: Daryl’s dad, Swanageboy and Team Mojo 100.
This is a 9 mile walk in the countryside around Nailsea. Starting from Backwell Lake, the Nailsea Round takes you to Wraxall, Tower House Woods and West End, then back to the lake via Morgan’s Hill.
The Round is waymarked with distinctive waymarks.
Along this walk you will pass a number of other caches that are either stand alone or part of other series. To fill some of the gaps The Nailsea Round Caches are being added by some of the local Cachers.
The cache which you will pass on this route previous to this one is GC8M4RR.
To get to the next cache in the Nailsea Round series, GC8W7M5, carry on along the footpath through the farm and out onto Youngwood Lane. Turn left, and then follow the road to the next footpath sign/gate on the right. Cross through the field all the way until you eat to the woodland. There is a chance to pick up GC5QENZ and GC8MY8K if you haven’t already done so.
