Three caches are located (with permission) in Bridgeview Park where the Petrolia Discovery Trail is located. This new trail offers the opportunity to explore a historic oil field and many artifacts of this bygone era can be found on and off the trail. The first cache is hidden near one of them.
Entrance to the park is at N 42 52.947 W 82 08.403
The first cache (the smallest of three plastic containers) and labeled Black Gold #1 contains:
Maps of the trail system
Locations of the two other caches in the trail area
Locations of other interesting features to discover
A notebook to record your visit
The two other caches (Black Gold #2 & #3) both contain notebooks and an assortment of items to take, exchange or just move from one cache to the other. They can be visited in any order and from time to time may be moved around the park (and the locations in the first cache updated) as conditions change.
All caches are less than 50 metres from a main trail (if you're on the right one!) - a short weedwack may be required depending on the season.
