It has been a long 6 months. we are hiking the waterville valley redliner. a 48 trail 125.5 mile hiking challange like the 4000' challenge. we now have east osceola from the grealey ponds trail.
the hike can go any ways. all of them have a lot of geocaches. there is a geocache that isnt published that i put up on east a few months back that i need to retrieve.
a few thjings, the tripoli road to the summit is the longest at about 3.6 3.7. the grealey ponds trail (what we are doing) is 2.7 but it is quite literaly straight up. it is very steep.
those of you who cant make the trek dont worry. i will make a traditional cache somewhere in the valley.
a few "requirments" as you can say are simple covid-19 related things.
please bring a mask, we dont want anyone to get sick. on trail masks are not required but social distancing is. bring about 7/8 hours of water and food, a raincoat incase it rains and a pullover. it get really windty on osceola!
lastly, have fun. hiking is a fun way to get out!
