Geocache Description:

The listed coords are for the War Memorial at Hilgay and not the final cache.

The War  Memorial commemorates the residents of Hilgay who were killed or missing in World War I (38 names) and World War II (8 names). Many of these Memorials were erected after the First World War. After the Second World War, the names of those who died in that war were also added to the memorial.

This cache has been submitted on the 75th Anniversay of Victory in Japan day.  Major Sir Captain Tom Moore was out in the Far East when the ceasefire was declared.
