The idea for this event has been stored away in my Geocaching file for a while now. I'm submitting this in August so that everyone has time to complete their costumes, and ammo cans. When I first had the idea for this event I planned on it being an indoors event, but due to COVID-19 it will be an outdoors event.
There will be food, cake, spooky music, a bonfire, and TWO contests and an overall good time. You can choose to either participate in one or both contests.
The first contest is a ''AMMO CAN PUMPKIN'' decorating contest. Decorate any size or style of ammo can as a pumpkin, and your fellow cachers will vote to choose the winner. Please include a card inside the ammo can with your name on it.
The second contest is a costume contest, it is Halloween after all! Come dressed as your favorite Geocacher. (You cannot dress as your geocaching-self) Be sure to include a nametag with your costume so people know which cacher you are impersonating. The participant with the best costume will win a custom trophy!
Everyone will revieve a red ticket for door prizez, and two cards. The two cards will be used to vote for your favorite ''Pumpkin ammo can'' and ''Geocacher costume contest''
Please bring a chair and a beverage of your choice. Food will be provided, so please let me know if you plan to attend, so I can plan accordingly.
