Geocache Description:

A nice metal bridge that links the two halves of Iford Golf Course.
We had hoped to place this cache as a bonus cache to our 5 Lab caches that were going to feature
“ the last 5 bridges over the River Stour”.
But after starting the process we concluded that this year (re covid)the footfall across this footbridge and several of the others was too great for the answering questions at them and “staying alert” of approaching Muggles.
(But maybe we are particularly anxious about keeping our distance re covid).
But we had found a hiding place for this cache a little distance along from the bridge on the quieter side of the river walks.
We concluded a jig-saw puzzle of 2 puzzles of 18 pieces, with questions revealed upon completion of each puzzle, would enable a virtual visit to the bridge to see what it looks like.We like going across it but don't want to be counting this for answers while doing so.
(our 5 Lab caches have been located a quiet location by Kings Park.

If the cache location is accessed from the South along the east side of the River Stour it avoids needing to skirt near the edge of the golf course. But the route can be muddy after rain and is not buggy friendly. The cache location can also be accessed from the North from near our Weir Read the Cache Page multi cache, but the access from the north has parts skirting near to part of the golf course. There is also access from the west side of the river via walking across the footbridge.

The Little Bridges series was started by Stanthews in 2009 to highlight small footbridges in remote parts of Wiltshire. Since then the series has been expanded by others all over the country and starting to spread fast. There is a stats listing run by Billiethecat, so you can see how many Little Bridges you have found, you can find it here:- https://littlebridgesseries.wordpress.com/ . If you would like to add to the series, please contact Stan on stanthews@aol.com and he will give you a number for your bridge, to qualify, the bridge must be a foot bridge too small for vehicles, please make sure your title exactly matches “Little Bridges # xxxx then the name” including spaces so it will get picked up and added to stats list.
