Deze cache is geplaatst aan het begin (of eind, afhankelijk vanaf welke kant je wil lopen) van een pad door het weiland tussen Teckop en de Hollandse Kade. Als u rechtdoor loopt door het weiland komt u uit bij de hollandse kade, u kunt hier een leuk rondje van maken om te lopen.
Het wandelpad is in het broedseizoen niet de bedoeling dat er van het weilandpad gebruik gemaakt word, de cache is dan nog wel te bereiken via Teckop.
Een vriendelijk verzoek om de cache weer op de zelfde plek terug te stoppen zodat deze niet in het water valt.
Zelf een pen meenemen is handig gezien deze niet in de cache paste.

De polder Teckop werd in de dertiende eeuw ontgonnen. De naam is waarschijnlijk afgeleid van Taeke's Cope, de cope die in opdracht van de Utrechtse bisschop door een leenman, Taeke werd ontgonnen. Teckop was een restontginning, hetgeen nog zichtbaar is aan de onregelmatige omtrek van de polder. Als primaire ontginningsbasis geldt de Vecht, maar de grenzen zijn mede bepaald door de ontginningen vanuit de Oude Rijn. Aanvankelijk werd op de veengrond vooral akkerbouw beoefend, later werd veeteelt de belangrijkste bestaansbron. Vanaf de vijftiende eeuw werd de polder bemalen door een molen, die langs de Teckopper Molenvliet stond, in de polder Groot Houtdijk. Rond 1800 werd in Teckop een mislukte poging ondernomen tot turfwinning. Enkele brede sloten herinneren nog aan deze vervening.
Bestuurlijk was Teckop lange tijd een zelfstandig ambacht binnen het gewest Holland, slechts via een smalle corridor met de rest van het graafschap verbonden.
Tot 1855 stond in het uiterste westen van de buurtschap een katholieke schuilkerk. Die ontstond in de zeventiende eeuw, toen als gevolg van de reformatie de katholieken uit hun kerken in de omgeving waren verbannen. Een reconstructie hiervan is te zien op het water bij kameryck.

The Teckop polder was reclaimed in the thirteenth century. The name is probably derived from Taeke's Cope, the cope that was mined by a feudalist Taeke on behalf of the Utrecht bishop. Teckop was a residual exploitation, which is still visible from the irregular outline of the polder.
