Didn't think there were any beaches in this part of Arkansas? Think again! Welcome to your beach destination CITO at Sandy Cove on the Arkansas river. We will cookout and then clean up the beach and shoreline. There is a bit of a walk to get here (but less than a mile roundtrip), so anything you pack in will need to be packed out. Tote bags/backpacks will be your friend. You can bring lawnchairs, but blankets would be lighter and will work for the beach area too. Parking waypoint is noted it is at the Canoe/Kayak Access parking lot (and you could bring your canoe or kayak to get to the event too!)
Cookout begins at 1 p.m.
Cleanup begins at 2 p.m.
Event ends at 3 p.m.
We will provide the grill, hotdogs, individual "school lunch" chip bags, and trash bags. Bring your own beverage. If others can sign up below to bring hot dog buns, condiments, paper plates, napkins, plasticware and dessert. Not everyone will need to bring food as we will need people with empty hands to haul trash bags back out to the parking lot. Not much shade on the beach, so sunscreen might be a good idea. :)
It is also ssiler's birthday, so be prepared to sing her Happy Birthday!!
