GGA's Belated 19th Birthday Event and Hall of Fame Presentation

We are very excited to have the quaratine behind us and the ability to meet in groups again so that we can celebrate the GGA's 19th year of existence as well as announce and honor the 2020 Georgia Geocachers Hall of Fame inductees.  The festivities will be at Don Carter State Park on Saturday, July 11th from 11-1pm at Shelter #4.  There will be a game or two, A LOT of catching up and socializing, some light snacks, water and cupcakes!!!

The 2020 Georgia Geocachers Hall of Fame inductees have each added something special and unique to geocaching in Georgia and this is your chance to honor them and give them a BIG congratulations and say thank you for all that they have contributed!!

We will also be announcing the winners of the Best of 2019 Cache Contest chosen by YOU as well as having the drawings for the GGA Team Challenges!!!

For those new to geocaching, there will be a Geobag 101 class starting at 10:30am with pointers and tips of "must haves" and useful items to keep in your geobag. 

The GGA store will be open with t-shirts and geocoins.  This will be the first time you can purchase the brand new 2020 geocoin in person.  Those that purchased coins during the pre-sale event will be able to pick them up at the party.  All proceeds from the sales in the store help fund future events.

NOTE: The event is free, but you must either have a GA State Parks parking pass or pay $5 for a one-day parking pass. A great option for parking passes and additional benefits is to become a member of Friends of Georgia State Parks.
