Get Your Goat on Goat Island!!

Meet at the Clay County Boat ramp at 9:00 am to catch a ride on the pontoon to begin water and land adventures!
Or if you prefer to canoe or kayak, start at Mayon Grove Boat Ramp, which is upstream of Goat Island. Please include in your will attend log if this is what you are planning. We will give you a ride back to Myron Boat Ramp to pick up your cars to bring back to landing point if needed.
The event actually starts on Goat Island and the log will be signed ON Goat Island, so only those making the trip will be able to log this event.
Be sure to bring along plenty of supplies and provisions for the trip.
Lots of water!! and more water!!!
And your lunch and energy snacks. And sunscreen, hat, bug spray, decent shoes, you know the drill.
Don't forget you will social distance. Wear masks when necessary and bring your own hand sanitizers.
Please post a "Will Attend" if you plan to make the event.
The National Park Service does have a few ground rules:
- We are not allowed to operate jet skis.
- We are not allowed to operate drones on this stretch of the Missouri River.
- They ask us to stick to the trails as much as possible. Bushwacking is allowed, just limit it as much as possible.
